Course Overview

The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program at Fuel College equips students with the critical skills and expertise necessary to design, develop, and manage advanced, intelligent software systems. Fuel College’s MCA department is proudly affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

Modules and Structure – MCA at Fuel College

● Each semester is thoughtfully structured to blend technical depth with soft skills development, encompassing areas such as programming languages, database management systems, operating systems, and computer networks.

● The curriculum is continuously updated to reflect the latest advancements in technology, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), Cloud Computing, and Python-based application development.

● Core subject areas span Object-Oriented Programming, Software Engineering, Networking, Mobile Application Development, as well as specialized domains such as Optimization Techniques, Data Warehousing, and Data Mining with a strong research orientation.

● To ensure practical learning and applied understanding, students are required to undertake a Mini Project at the end of every semester, enabling them to translate theoretical knowledge into real-world applications.

Entry Requirements

  • - Eligibility for Masters in Computer Application (MCA) Degree
  • - Nationality of Candidate should be Indian
  • - BCA / B.Sc./ B.Com./ B.A. with Mathematics as one of the subjects (at 10+2 level or at Graduation level examination) and obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (at least 45% for backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only)
  • - Non zero positive score in MAH-MCA-CET 2025

Frequently Asked Question

Admission is based on performance in entrance exams such as MAH MCA CET or any other approved entrance test, followed by counselling and document verification as per university guidelines.

The MCA programme is a 2-year full-time course, divided into 4 semesters as per the latest AICTE and university norms.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications (BCA), Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
They must have secured at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) at the graduation level.
Final-year students may apply provisionally, subject to achieving the required marks.
